Company History

Crombie Lodge

Accuro Biologics was founded in 2005 by members of the former antibody engineering services group of Biovation / Merck KgaA. The team were instrumental in the development of the DeImmunisation® technology platform for therapeutic protein engineering with projects conducted for a variety of significant industry players leading to new therapeutic candidates and patents. Accuro Biologics is therefore led by an experienced and energetic management team with significant industry experience of conducting humanisation and other contract biological services.

The company is able to draw upon a highly experienced team for the delivery of its laboratory based projects. All scientists are BSc or PhD qualified each with many years experience in commercial antibody engineering technologies. The team has successfully engineered over 40 therapeutic antibodies with several advancing into clinical development. The most recent humanised antibody started phase 1 trials during 2008.

The company uses its know-how and technical expertise to deliver wide-ranging project types in recombinant antibody gene manipulation and expression. The company may conduct projects on a fully outsourced basis implementing all laboratory based work through its own team, or can provide project support under a consultative model depending on the capabilities and or project strategy of the client. The company has built excellent relations with its clients achieving notable project success in each case. The company is now positioned to widen its range of partnerships and service offerings through in-licensing and continued development of its technology position.
